We are a group that has a cruise ship vacation coming up this Saturday, August 3rd on the MSC Seascape, and we are trying to add a 3rd guest to a balcony stateroom and make a new change for an ocean-view cabin.
We had a contact person, but she is unfortunately on sick leave. So we had contact with approximately 2 to 3 other agents/managers for this matter.
Yesterday we called again to make the changes but was informed that it is not possible due to the cruise line company's 7-day prior cruise date policy.
But we are very pissed because none of the VTG representatives have informed us about this policy, and there are also no other cabins available than the suite. This is not fair, we didn't have a direct booking with the MSC, but with VTG. So it was their task to inform us properly about this policy. We cannot do anything, and VTG is not taking responsibility for this matter, only repeating the MSC policy.
The changes requested are not complicated and can be an exception, mostly because we were in contact for quite a long time for this matter and the cabins are all fully paid.
The changes will have an additional fee which will be paid.
I hope you can fix this. Because of this, I cannot recommend anyone book with VTG if they cannot even inform properly.

Verified Reviewer | Houston, TexasCan't never contact to Representation who booked tickets for us. We're group of 8 people included elderly 86years and 2 kid 8years old. We got stuck and can't get stuck at the gate.
This is the very first time for the eight of us, including an 86-year-old and 8 and 6-year-old kids, to take a cruise. We were supposed to embark on a Carnival cruise to Mexico for seven days from the Long Beach port.
As indicated on our ticket, the departure time was 4.00pm, so we showed up at 3.30pm. To our surprise, security had locked us out, and the manager, named Jesus, informed us that we were late for the cruise as the gate closed at 3.00pm. This was confusing, as our tickets stated a departure time of 4.00pm. This was a significant oversight by customer service.
We booked these tickets through 'Vacations To Go'; our contact there, Kingston, never informed us about the early gate closure. When we encountered this issue and sought a solution, we made multiple attempts to call Kingston over two days, but he never answered the phone.

My booking agent was very attentive, responsive, and serving while I and other family members were booking our travel and prior to the final payment date. After the final payment date, I have called three times, with an equal number of emails sent to him asking for help with some questions involving travel details.
I have not received any response, thus left with the feeling that I was only important until my final payment went through. I'm disappointed, sadly. Furthermore, I can't say I won't try booking with them again.
This was my first time using them, but I will not use the same agent and I would caution you not to do so as well. His extension is #7085.

Don't book excursions with them. No one said the excursions weren't refundable if you couldn't make the cruise. I wouldn't advise anyone to use this agency and am very disappointed.

So disappointing
Kenya from Vacations to Go set up my sister's trip. The only thing that did not go wrong was my flight.
Everything else was disastrous!
It has been 3 days since we called and left messages with her and we're still waiting for her to return our call. We ended up spending over $6,000 for a 5-day stay only to use 2 of those days changing rooms because of the mishap and accommodations.

I called late , almost at the end of the business hours on Friday Jan 19 to get a final price on a 16 d cruise w Norwegian company . The agent Cesalie Watler said it was $950 + tax .
The advertised price I had was $599 + tax & I told her I can email her the price I had on an email from them .
After being placed on hold she said ,,oh , I found it , it is $599 . I asked to get an email w the total price which I did . Saturday I emailed her asking to book it . She emailed me right away and asked me to provide our names & DOB & she would place the cabin on hold & call me next day to finalize the booking .
On her Saturday email to me she had her phone number and office hours for Saturday listed 11AM TO 8 PM .
I did not hear from her next day so I left a voice message & sent an Email .
Still nothing .
Monday I left another voicemail without any response.
I spoke w supervisor Abby who said would investigate and her attitude was like ,, things happen ! Also informed me that the cruise was sold out !
I was promised that Cesalie will call me w an explanation to what happened. Never called me !
I emailed my complaint to Cesalies manager Beltran Abordo who sent me an email claiming he tried to call me & leave a voice mail twice but was not able to go thru .
I had absolutely no missed calls or messages and my phone worked just fine .
He tried to convince me that Cesalie did not book the cruise or contact me because she was not in the office Saturday . He forgot she emailed me Saturday & did not think I noticed her office ours listed .
Had no explanation why she did not call Monday either !
Did not take any responsibility for mishandling this situation . Tried to imply that was my fault .
Ang guess what? He said now they have the cruise available at $950 !
How convenient !
I think that Cesalie was told not to book this cruise at the lower price & just not call me back . They hoped I would take the cruise with the increased rate .
Dishonest , deceiving , unethical and lying .
I am convinced that they will respond to my complaint with a fabricated explanation and a lie .
This behavior is unacceptable and I wonder if the higher management of this company knows what is going on .

I attempted to book a cruise on MSC through vacations2go and was directed away from the advertised price. Additionally, the agent said that I was not entitled to the 5% discount as a gold member.
We booked three cruises earlier this year and got the same reception. The booking agent would state that the advertised price is no longer available.
We have been booking cruises through vacations2go since 2003 and never experienced this bait and switch before 2023. The consumer bureau should look into this before the USSC makes it ruling.

The agent books without providing us information about the documents necessary for travel. They hurriedly take the money for the tickets.
After we received the booking documents we mentioned to the agent we had passport card and ID and not passport. He did not mention that it was acceptable or not accepted. In good faith we went to cruise line who refused to let us board. We took insurance on our booking.
Now VTG says they cannot refund $2K back.
Easy money for VTG- complete rip-off. If this is not going to be resolved we will resort to law suit.

Phoned Vacations to Go to be told our 16 night cruise Transatlantic from
Barcelona to Miami , sailing on the 3rd May 2023 in (Their Words it had been Pulled) in 2022,no explanation ? why.
We have proof our deposit was received by them 8th August 2022,
Booking no 4267****.
Up to today no explanation no apology and as yet no refund regarding the deposit.
We now have to get in touch with Ryanair regarding our flights to Barcelona, and our flights with Virgin Atlantic from Miami to Manchester.
It was to be a dream holiday and our last as my husband and I 79-75 yrs old but young at heart, ,

Thank you for writing to share your experience. We apologize if you feel you were not properly informed of MSC’s rules pertaining to last-minute passenger changes.
MSC does not allow name changes or the removal of a passenger within 7 days of sailing, but passengers can be added to a booking, space permitting, which was the nature of your call on July 24. Unfortunately, we are unable to override the cruise line’s policies and MSC was unwilling to make an exception. These policies would apply wherever you booked, whether through Vacations To Go, directly with MSC or through another travel agency.
We do see that our managers discussed the limited options available with two different members of your group on July 24, and we’re glad your travel counselor was able to make the change for you when you called back on July 28. We apologize again for any frustration this experience caused you, and hope that despite your recent disappointment, your group has a wonderful time on this cruise.
